The ZKTeco U2000E UHF Card Reader With Access Control is a long-range RFID terminal built for facilities where standard proximity card readers simply aren’t fast or far-reaching enough — vehicle gates, parking entrances, factory loading bays, and gated communities across Bangladesh, where vehicles need to be identified and authorised before they even reach the barrier.

Unlike short-range card readers requiring a tap or close swipe, the U2000E reads UHF tags from 0 to 12 metres, with stable detection up to 10 metres, allowing a vehicle’s RFID tag to be identified while still approaching the gate — eliminating the stop-and-tap delay that causes queuing at busy factory or residential entrances during peak hours. Output power is adjustable from 18dBm to 26dBm, giving installers the flexibility to fine-tune the exact read distance for each site’s gate layout and traffic speed.

This is not a passive reader requiring a separate controller — the U2000E integrates a complete access control module directly into the unit, supporting third-party electric locks, door sensors, exit buttons, alarm output, and Wiegand input/output, along with anti-passback functionality to prevent tailgating and unauthorised re-entry — a critical feature for factories and secured compounds tracking exact vehicle or personnel movement.

Built specifically for outdoor deployment, the U2000E carries an IP66 weatherproof rating, standing up to Bangladesh’s monsoon rain and dust without performance degradation, and operates reliably from -20°C to +60°C with humidity up to 95% — conditions that damage standard indoor-rated readers within months of outdoor installation.

Running on the ZMM220 hardware platform, the U2000E supports 5,000 card users and stores 30,000 transaction logs, giving facility managers a full audit trail of every vehicle or personnel entry without needing constant manual log clearing. It connects via TCP/IP for full network integration with ZKAccess 3.5 and ZKBioSecurity 3.0 software, or USB for standalone demo and configuration — fitting into both centralised multi-gate systems and single-site installations.
