Description
The ZKTeco EC16 Elevator Control Panel is a second-generation elevator access control system built for secure, scalable floor management in multi-story buildings across Bangladesh. Paired with DEX16 expansion boards, this elevator control panel restricts floor access based on verified user credentials rather than leaving elevators open to anyone.
The ZKTeco EC16 controls up to 16 floors natively, and scales up to 128 floors when paired with up to 7 DEX16 expansion boards — letting a single elevator control panel grow with a building instead of being replaced as it expands.
This elevator access control system supports fingerprint and RFID card verification directly via RS485, and integrates with ZKTeco's ZKBio CVSecurity platform for dynamic QR codes and facial recognition, giving building managers flexibility in how residents or staff verify themselves.
The EC16 connects up to 8 RS485 readers and 2 Wiegand readers per panel, and is compatible with ZKTeco's QR500/600 series readers — simplifying integration into buildings that already use ZKTeco access hardware elsewhere.
Communication runs over RS485 for expansion boards and readers, with TCP/IP for centralized software integration — supporting features like passage mode during business hours, anti-passback, and full event logging.
